Black individuals may sport a white mark on the head, different names being given to the sheep depending on its location: crown, muzzle or neck. As it grows, black wool turns reddish.

Wool: Wool grows down to the hock, strands varying in length. Short curls, well padded forehead.

"Xalda" sheep are agile, lively and good walker. In general, they look small and shapely.
