The Asociación de Criadores de Oveja Xalda (ACOXA) was founded in 1992. The Association is the responsible for the Genealogical Book of the Breed, which guarantees the origin of each animal. It performs the marking of the sheeps born during the current year, delivering the respective certifications and organizing several exhibitions of the race.
